It's countdown time to Twirl Mania 2008!
We hope everybody has practiced, packed and ready to come have some fun at the Disney World Resorts and the Twirl Mania International Championships with twirling athletes from around the world!
Remember....you are representing the Sport of Baton and the Disney eyes and ears are all around you! Continue to show Disney what a great sport twirling is along with good sportsmanship, courtesy to others, and of course Disney for putting on this event.
If you are flying in and staying on Disney property make sure you have reserved and received your Disney Magical Express tags for your luggage.
All those that have ordered express mail tickets should have them in hand...if not call TM immediately.

After registration is complete, the TM Information Desk will be open at the front door of the Wide World of Sports "Milk House" ( this is the arena for competition)
The Atlanta Braves are at the Sports Complex for pre-season training. Be sure to stop by the baseball stadium to see your favorite players, maybe even get an autograph.

PARADE DOWN MAIN STREET, U.S.A.
A dream of a lifetime comes true as your group performs on Main Street, U.S.A leading off the Disney Dreams Come True or SpectroMagic parade in the Magic Kingdom® Park.
AGE
- Participants must be ( 8 ) eight years of age and able to march two miles for DAY parade and ( 10 ) years of age for the NIGHT parade.
- No exceptions, this is a Disney rule. Birth certificates may be required. Groups not abiding by Disney rules will be removed from parade lineup.
- LINE UP please no more than 3 across. Coach will march with sign in front of team between groups to maintain proper spacing.
- Cover-ups…Please do not allow your team members to walk through the Parks in costume or twirling their batons. Costumes must be covered and batons in a case. Any teams identified will be disqualified and removed from the parade lineup. We must OBEY THE DISNEY RULES & REGULATIONS.

All parade participants meet at the Gates of the Pirates of the Caribbean in the Magic Kingdom Park.
Coaches and parents...please keep your members in single file along the wall so Disney guests can pass without obstruction of the sidewalk area or interfere with the Pirates show.
No participants will be allowed back stage after the report time. Please be prompt.

- Equipment must be picked up after each parade due to the large number of participants utilizing the van service.
- Unclaimed equipment will be left in the Wide World of Sports® Complex at noon; neither Twirl Mania nor Disney will be held responsible for the equipment.
Twirl Mania is run on the set system to keep everything organized and on time. Please make sure to follow the Program Book, MC announcements of sets, and the Set # on the Score board carefully.
Don't forget your highlighter to mark your events in the book so you know when and where you will performing.
There are numerous dressing rooms available throughout the Milk House. Please do not camp out in the hallways.
Any coach utilizing team props needs to notify TM of drivers for clearance backstage and have all equipment padded. You can drop off props 1 hour prior to your performance and must remove directly after for courtesy of other teams.
Awards for soloists will be posted and given out for most events following the verification from the tabulation room. If you placed on the postings, please go directly to the Awards Table to receive your award and scoresheet.
Non placing athletes may pick up their score sheets at the Score Sheet Only Table.
- All athletes must be in costume to receive awards and photos! No Exceptions
- Everyone must have a Blue Awards Band and TM ticket to attend Awards Extravaganza.
- Score sheets will be given out at the rear of the stadium at the completion of the Ceremony. Please look for the letter/line of your Last NAME.
- All athletes will have a designated seating area so they can reach the stage with ease.
- Award winning athletes will be announced and asked to take the placement steps. Once awarded they will step off the stage and report directly to the photography area for official photos.
Please make sure you have transportation after the Awards Extravaganza as the Disney Hollywood Studios will be closed.
